Book keeping is dreaded by those who are not accountants by profession.  It involves nitty gritty details of all the financial dealings of any company in operation.  Each financial transaction has to be properly accounted for and incase there are doubts auditors are sent in to check all the books of accounts.  Auditing is a yearly procedure that gives companies a clean bill of health regarding their taxes and or if any funds have been misappropriated.  This is the only way that companies are able to know how they faired financially.   All expenses should by law be accounted for, it only through such accounting that the books can balance at the end of the year.

Accountants sometimes make mistakes that cause them to re-do the work again.  Duplication of financial records is one of the issues that make balancing of the books a difficult task.  In any accounting there should be clear set columns of all the expenses and the income generated throughout the whole year.  This is why it is imperative that any organization who intends to have a clean bill of health must invest in qualified staff.  It is better to spend a little more in qualified staff than employ staff that are not qualified who will cause the company to pay penalties when the accounting procedure is wrongly handled.

Technology has also made very easy for accountants and or those who do book keeping having better software in keeping their books in order.  The internet is full of free software programs for those who are unable to purchase a full software program.  These are free and can be downloaded at no cost to the company.  Some of these software programs do the same jobs as the others that are commercial.   The internet has vast amount of software that come with a manual that enables users to have a DIY instructions on how to handle the software.  Any financial trained individual should not have a problem using some of this software as they make work efficient, easier and cuts a lot of time wasted in entering the entries manually.
